Sea Salt Scrub Recipes

If you have heard of the wonders of sea salts and what they can do for you, you have come to the right place to further learn how to use them.  These are the most basic sea salt scrub recipes that any one can prepare either as a gift for others or as a gift to your self.

The most basic of sea salt scrub recipes is simply medium grained sea salt.  This is really the foundation for the scrub and all you actually need to achieve amazing results and a fresh spa glow.  If you want to spice it up a touch add in approximately 1 drop of essential oil for every ounce of sea salt.  This ratio will work well and allows you to buy any amount of packaged sea salt that you find.  The benefit to using sea salt is the trace minerals and nutrients that are found in the salt.  Our skin drinks these up like a delicious potion.    Dead sea salt is said to be the most potent of all the salts, but I think that the most important part is that you take the time to do this for yourself.

This seasalt scrub recipe is a touch more complex and a touch more enjoyable to use on your skin.  Use ½ a cup of high quality oil, preferably oil that is not over manufactured like coconut oil, grapeseed oil or almond oil.  Anything that you are willing to ingest is suitable for your skin to ingest.  Place a cup of you favorite sea salts into a large bowl.  Add in the oil mixing the two together well.  The texture that you are aiming for is moist enough to kind of stick together and not too oily that it is too greasy to use.   Adjust these two ingredients as you see fit at this point.  Add in about 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil or oils at this point.  You can’t go wrong here anything that you like works.  This is the perfect recipe to use weekly on your skin as it’s exfoliating as well as moisturizing.

This recipe is an amazing recipe that has to be used at the time you mix it up.  It is best used after a bath, shower or swim while the skin and pours are already soft and open.

Mix the following together:

½ cup of your favorite sea salt

¼ cup of oatmeal

¼ cup of coconut oil

¼ cup of olive oil

5 drops of your favorite essential oil

This little mix is a powerhouse of nutrients, exfoliation and moisture for your whole body.  Your body will thank you for this gift of attention.  Spread over you whole body and gently massage in a circular motion all over for a few minutes.  The longer, slower and more thorough you can be the better.  Gentle body massage highly encourages the elimination of toxins in the body.

You can use these sea salt scrubs weekly for maximum benefit or whenever it feels good for a little pick me up.  Because they are not toxic and 100% natural there is not possibility of over or under use, so just use them as it feels good.
